Job Description

They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore and deepen their understanding of various religious traditions, ethical systems, and moral philosophies. You will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging curriculum, fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom environment, and encouraging critical thinking about religious and moral issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive religious education curriculam.
  • Teach students about major world religions, ethical systems, and moral philosophy.
  • Create a classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, understanding, and appreciation of diverse religious beliefs.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students and encourage participation.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Organize and participate in school events and activities related to religious education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider community to support student learning and well-being.
  • Stay updated on developments in religious education and incorporate new knowledge into teaching practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Teaching certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience teaching religious education or a related subject.
  • Strong knowledge of major world religions and ethical systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to fostering the intellectual and spiritual growth of students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty members and staff.
