We are looking for an engaging and passionate Teaching Assistant to support and enthuse children of all abilities, to make progress. This is a full-time and permanent position, term time only, from January 2024 (or with immediate effect).

The Head is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support and promote the learning of our students. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude towards young children and adults, have a sense of humour and excellent written and oral communication skills.
This role would suit those looking to develop their career either as a 121 support to students, a future therapist or teacher. We can offer you the opportunity to train through the school’s Continuing Professional Development programme and be supported by a mentor. Experience within the educational sector would be an advantage but is not a requirement, so this would be the perfect position from which to start a career in education

Information about the school
The school is an independent specialist provision for students aged 6 to 25 who have been diagnosed with various needs, which may include ASD, dyslexia, speech, language and communication difficulties, DCD, sensory, social, emotional and other learning difficulties along with high levels of anxiety. The school is set in an historic Medway town and enjoys the outstanding community facilities and links that the towns of Chatham and Rochester have to offer.
The school provides a holistic child centred approach to education underpinned by our team of 98 Teachers, Teaching assistants, Administrators and Therapists, all working in a caring and nurturing environment, with a common belief that all students have the opportunity to make progress and experience success everyday, in a safe, caring, nurturing and secure environment.
