Job Description

Can you make the difference to the lives of our students?  Do you like to be challenged?   Are you solution focused?

Do you want to be part of our OUTSTANDING SEMH school?

This could be the job for you.

SEMH schools can be a challenging place to work, but the dedicated staff rebuild lives through education. Teaching respect, encouraging responsibility, building relationships, and developing resilience in the students is an integral part of the role. The committed, dynamic, and resourceful staff find working at the school rewarding.

If you would like to be part of our journey to support students’ lives, we are looking for an Associate Teacher to join our Education Off Site Department as part of our Ofsted rated outstanding provision. You will be working to inspire our students love of learning through a hands on and creative approach to teaching.

The position supports offsite tutoring of core subjects at various locations, such as students’ homes or libraries. Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will need experience with behaviour management and have a full driving licence. There is an expectation to drive school vehicles and due to insurance restrictions applicants will need to be over 21.

As a school we are proud to promote the development of life skills and social development as equal to academic achievement. West Heath School works towards the end goal of helping students re-integrate into mainstream learning and preparation for adulthood.

If you would like to be part of the journey helping our students gain their best outcomes, we can support you by offering:
