Key Stage Secondary

Job Description

We are looking to recruit an amazing teacher to join a truly brilliant team.  The feedback from staff at this school is consistently wonderful – with the support from SLT and the fun environment being recurring themes.

We are seeking to appoint a Key Stage 3/4 teacher to start in September 2024. The successful candidate will be joining a lively, enthusiastic and supportive team with many opportunities for continuing professional development.

The role is to teach a range of subjects including Science, English and Humanities and we would consider both full time and part time applicants.

We are looking for a caring and creative teacher who is an excellent classroom practitioner. You must be resourceful, flexible, positive and motivated with a good sense of humour.  You will share our belief that all pupils can achieve and be successful.  You will have the ability to organise, inspire and motivate young people with special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

It is a modern, well-equipped school providing a highly personalised and structured curriculum. There are 12 pupils in a class with three learning support assistants. They offer a unique teaching and learning environment, committed staff and excellent career development opportunities.  The school caters for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) and autism spectrum conditions.  Come and join a great staff team.

If you:

  • Believe learning should be fun.
  • Have a good understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Can plan lessons creatively for pupils who require personalised learning.
  • Can teach Life Skills and Independence Skills
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have some experience and enthusiasm for working with pupils with social communication difficulties and Autism/Learning difficulties, or a desire to learn.
  • Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Have strong emotional resilience.
  • Have empathy and understanding towards young people.

NQT are welcome to apply as we offer a supportive programme for Newly Qualified Teachers.

Are you a caring and compassionate individual ready to take on an exciting new challenge? Are you looking for a school full of support, a great team and outstanding children?

Start Date December 2024
