Job Description

Early Years Teaching Assistant

Job Role: Teaching Assistant
Qualification: Early Years qualification (contact me for full list)
Start date: January 2025
Location: Chatham

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in accordance with the EYFS framework.
  • Help the teacher to create nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued, safe, and supported.
  • Use a variety of support strategies and resources to cater to the individual needs and interests of each child.
  • Support the teacher to assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and guidance to promote continuous growth and development.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other staff to support the holistic development of every child.

Requirements:

  • Suitable Early Years qualification.
  • Understanding of the EYFS curriculum and a passion for early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Creative and innovative approach to teaching, with a commitment to providing an enriching and stimulating learning environment.
  • Dedication to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in training opportunities.
